Bob and Pam Wilson

Marion has been home to Bob and his family since moving from Zeigler in September of 1953.  At the age of thirteen Bob moved to Marion and began his freshman year in High School.  He graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in 1963 and continues to serve the Community as a Funeral Director in Marion.  He is an active member of Second Baptist Church, where he attends with his wife Pam.  Bob and his wife, the former Pam Peot, reside south of Marion on the Lake of Egypt.  Bob is a member of the noon Marion Lions Club and Fellowship Masonic Lodge 89 A.F. & A.M. of Marion.  His participation in the community has included memberships in several local groups and volunteering for several years for the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.  The Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home is now located at the corner of North Court Street and West Boulevard.  This is the location of the former McKinley Grade School and across the street from the location of the former Frick Funeral Home, a predecessor of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home.  As a teenager Bob surveyed all areas of Marion, as a possible location for a new funeral home.  In considering a location, he would always come back to the McKinley School property.  In May of 1982 a devastating tornado would strike the community of Marion destroying many homes, businesses and the McKinley Grade School.  Seven years later the school property was offered for sale by sealed bid and Bob and Dave were blessed by their bid being accepted.  Followed by many events, rejected architect plans and a final design by Bob and Dave, the new Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home was completed and opened for business, January 12, 1998.  Bob plans to continue to keep busy with the every day operation of the funeral home, caring for the needs of families, along with an active involvement in the community of Marion.
When considering your needs for planning a funeral service feel free to stop by and discuss your many options with Bob or a member of our staff.

Dave & Pam McReynolds and Family
Dave and Pam were raised in West Frankfort, IL and have known each other since youth.  Dave moved to Marion in 1978 after completing mortuary school at Southern Illinois University.  They were married in 1981 and have three children, Amanda, Landon and Jordan. The McReynolds' family is actively involved in “Aldersgate United Methodist Church” of Marion. The family all are outdoor enthusiasts spending as much as they can enjoying the outdoors and all that it has to offer. Dave loves to waterfowl and turkey hunt and spends many hours with his youngest son Jordan out in the field. Dave sees great value in his profession and sees a benefit in what he provides to those in a special time of their lives.  Dave was elected in 2000-2001 by his peers as President of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association. He also has served in other state association positions. He is actively involved in the Marion community and enjoys being with all the people of the area.  Pam also works outside the home at John A. Logan College in the Dental Program. All the family feels they are blessed by what God has provided to each of them.

Frank & Loretta Crosson
Frank & Loretta Crosson are natives of Williamson County and the Marion area.  They are retirees that started helping out at the funeral home when it moved to its’ new location back in 1998.  They have many friends here in the area and love helping and serving families in need.

Mary Anne Crepps
MaryAnne was born in McLeansboro, IL, to John and Barbara Becker.  They moved up North and she was raised in New Lenox, until moving to California in 1975.  She lived there and raised a family until 2006, (with the exception of living in Dover DE 1991-1992) moving back to Marion to live closer to family.  Her two children Amber and Kevin chose to stay in California and live in Mt.Shasta.  She’s now the newest member of the team, and helps out during services, pre-planning and aftercare.

Sheila K. Ray
Sheila K. Ray was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and moved to Marion in 2007.  She joined the staff of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home in August 2008, as a Funeral Service Consultant.
She dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ in 1997, after the tragic death of her sister. That became the landmark in history that changed her course and it was then that she was given a whole new perspective on life.   At that moment, her greatest interests and desires became to know God, to serve Him and to fulfill His plans and purposes for her life.
Since that time, she has been given the privilege to set under several wonderful ministers, through her local assemblies who’ve mentored, trained, equipped and released her into the work of the Lord as she’s birthed and walking out the vision He has given her for her ministry.
She’s learned the importance of servitude by serving wherever and however needed in the Body of Christ in various capacities.
She loves people and finds nothing more rewarding than caring for them  in their times of need and invests much of her time to the lives of those within the Marion community and surrounding areas who desire personal ministry  in the area of “Inner healing and Deliverance” and thus establishing the Kingdom of God.
In 2005, she answered the call to funeral service and previously worked for a large corporate firm who trained and equipped her for service, specializing in “Aftercare and Advanced Planning”.
Sheila and her husband, Darren, reside in Marion and have three wonderful boys, Jeremy, J.D and Josh.  They attend Little Chapel Church of Harrisburg, IL.

Some of her favorite pastimes include spending time with family, reading, traveling and attending sporting events (Go Salukis!:)
