James Edward Hale II, age 57, of Marion, IL passed away suddenly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his home. He was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1956, in Peoria, IL the son of James Edward and Genevieve (Robbins) Hale. James was a graduate from Coulterville IL High School. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University earning degrees in Electrical and Mining Engineering. His working career was in computer software development for coal mines which is still used today in the United States and Australia. In his spare time he enjoyed listening to classic rock music and watching science fiction entertainment. The many memories that have been created will now be cherished by those he leaves behind. He is survived by his son, James Edward “Jim” Hale III of Marion, IL; daughter, Jenna Hale of Marion, IL; granddaughter, Jayden; two sisters Elizabeth Huhman and Barbara Hagerling; brother, John Hale, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rick Hale. The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Scottsboro Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, located at 1209 Morgan Ave., in Marion, IL with Rev. Jeff Gee presiding. Those wishing to attend the service should gather at the church’s fellowship hall shortly before 2:00 p.m. Services have been provided to the family by Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home of Marion, IL.
