Louise Pritchett, age 85, of rural Marion, IL, the Lake of Egypt area, passed away peacefully at 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Heartland Regional Medical Center of Marion, IL. She was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1928, at home in the settlement of Sunnyside, located west of Herrin, IL the daughter of Everett and Gladys (Lewis) Albright. Louise was united in marriage to Earl Pritchett on Friday, November 29, 1946, in Osceola, AR and together they shared nearly 54 years of marriage until his death on Sunday, October 22, 2000. Louise always kept busy caring for the needs of her family and her home. She enjoyed sharing time with her family and friends and attending gospel music events when possible. She is survived by her three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis Pritchett of Genoa, IL, Lindell and Jade Pritchett of Marion, IL and Michael and Kathy Pritchett of Goreville, IL; son-in-law, Lindle Ray Ferguson of Spillertown, IL; eight grandchildren, Tammy Sue Miskelley, and husband, Dwayne of Marion, IL, Samantha Lawrence and husband, Curtis of Spillertown, IL, Charlie Ferguson and wife, Tara of Goreville, IL, Lorra Pritchett of Genoa, IL, Steven Pritchett and wife, Wendy of Rantoul, IL, Amy Shelton and husband, Dave of Herrin, IL, Butch Pritchett of Cheyenne, WY and Brittney Pritchett of Goreville, IL; nine great grandchildren, Christian Ferguson, Jacob Ferguson, Cody Lawrence, Myranda Lawrence, Zaida Pritchett, Aramis Dwyer, Aerilynn Gagnon, Roy Pritchett and Alexander Pritchett; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Velma Hottes of Mountain Home, AR and Ina and Lawrence Fosse, Betty Sullivan, Vennetta and Harold Maze and Lois and Clyde Brewer all of Goreville, IL as well as other extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Wanda Lou “Sue Ferguson. Arrangements for Louise Pritchett were entrusted to the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, Marion, IL. A time of visitation for family and friends was on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the time of visitation the funeral service was at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Blumenstock presiding. The prelude and postlude musical selections were recorded piano selections. Special recorded vocal musical selections presented during the service were “The Old Rugged Cross” by Alan Jackson and “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace” both by Elvis Presley. Interment followed next to her husband in Fountain Cemetery south of Marion, IL. Pallbearers were Cody Lawrence, Steve Pritchett, Lorra Pritchett, Amy Shelton, Charlie Ferguson and Christian Ferguson. Following the services family and friends gathered at the Senior Citizens Center in Goreville, IL for a meal and continued time of fellowship and support. For those who preferred, memorial gifts were made to “Fountain Cemetery Fund”. Memorial contribution envelopes were available at the funeral home or were mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, P.O. Box 370, Marion, IL 62959.
