Marion Ruth Ecklund BENTON - Marion Ruth Ecklund, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. She was born Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1929, in Chicago IL. Arrangements for Marion Ruth Ecklund were entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion, IL. For the past three and a half years, she was a resident at Helia Healthcare of Benton. Marion also lived in Mundelein, Mesa AZ and Marion. She is survived by her husband, Roger W. Ecklund, currently of Helia Healthcare in Benton; daughter, Candance (Stephen) Applehans of Goreville; three grandchildren, Lisa Langhans of Odessa, Texas, Jay Applehans of Ingleside and Bob Applehans of Marion; and six great-grandchildren, Shawn, Kyle, Megan, Zack, Jacob and Peyton. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters. There was no visitation and interment was private. Memorial contributions may be made to “American Heart Association”.
