Sue Anderson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Paulette Sue Anderson, age 65, of Marion, IL passed away peacefully at 5:14 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, in Heartland Regional Medical Center of Marion, IL. She was born on Friday, April 15, 1949, in Marion, IL the daughter of Bert Edward and Mildred Marie “Alma” (Fluck) Swafford. Sue attended school in Marion and was a graduate of Marion High School. She was united in marriage to Robert E. “Andy” Anderson on Friday, January 17, 1969, in The Church of God, located on West Main St. in Marion, IL and together they have shared the last forty-five years of marriage. Sue was a member of Messiah Christian Church of Marion, IL. She is survived by her husband, Andy Anderson of Marion, IL; son, Bruce Anderson of Herrin, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and JoAnne Swafford of Marion, IL; three aunts, Wanda Faye Evans, and husband, Larry, Yvonne Martin and Lois Zdankiewicz all of Marion, IL; niece, Tanya Feltz and husband, Carl of Crab Orchard, IL; three great nieces, Maria Green and husband, Jordan of Marion, IL and Whitney Feltz and Lara Feltz both of Crab Orchard, IL, two great-great nieces, two great-great nephews, other extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Ragenea Swafford. Arrangements for Sue Anderson were entrusted to the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, of Marion, IL. The time of visitation was from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home in Marion, IL. During the time of visitation a “Reflection of Life” DVD Memorial Tribute featuring special people, places and events of Sue’s life was presented to the family and friends. Following the time of visitation the funeral service was at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Glenn and Deacon Ralph Wade presiding. The prelude and postlude musical selections were recorded piano selections. Special recorded vocal musical selections presented during the service were “Farther Along” by Elvis Presley, “Sweet Beulah Land” by Squire Parsons and “Look What I’m Trading for a Mansion” by The Perry’s. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery of Marion, IL. Following the committal service at the cemetery the family and friends gathered at Messiah Christian Church of Marion, IL for a meal and continued time of fellowship and support. The family requested for those who preferred, memorial contributions to be made to “Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home” to help with expenses.
