Sue Ann “Cookie” Nash, age 73, of Marion, IL, of the Lake of Egypt community, unexpectedly joined her heavenly father on Thursday, August 15, 2013. She was born on Monday, July 1, 1940, in Aurora, IL the daughter of Fred John and Clara Mary (Seidelman) Kluber. Sue Ann was united in marriage to Daniel E. Nash on Saturday, November 21, 1959, in Aurora, IL and together they have shared over fifty-three years of marriage. After retiring and moving to the Lake of Egypt, Sue Ann enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake. She was an active member of Lake of Egypt Association of Property Owners (LEAPO) and was a member of the Lake of Egypt Red Hat Society. Sue attended the Lake of Egypt Christian Church where she took part in and enjoyed the many activities of the church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping in contact with friends and family on Facebook. Sue enjoyed crocheting and knitting, painting landscapes and tole painting which she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends. Sue Ann will be remembered as being a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Nash of Marion, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and David Balder of Sandwich, IL; son and daughter-in-law, David and Faye Nash of Lindenhurst, IL; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrick, Jacqueline, Thomas and Maddie, eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Clareen and James Weiland; two brothers, Ronald Kluber and Gary Kluber; other extended family and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Donna Kluber and two brothers, Fritz and Delmer Kluber. Arrangements for Sue Ann Nash have been entrusted to the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, of Marion, IL. There will be a visitation at 1:00 p.m. with the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the Lake of Egypt Christian Church with Rev. Leroy Waggoner presiding. There will be a dinner following the services at the church. For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to “The Breast Cancer Research Foundation” or “Diabetes Foundation”. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the church on the day of the service or may be mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, P.O. Box 370, Marion, IL 62959.
