Brenda Cheryl Little Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Brenda C. Little, age 74, of Marion, IL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in Integrity Healthcare Center of Herrin, IL. She was born on Wednesday, September 2, 1947, in Paulton, IL, the daughter of Robert Eugene Wooten and Eloise Lucille (Blades) Wooten. Brenda attended school in Crab Orchard and had perfect attendance during high school and was a graduate of Crab Orchard High School Class of 1965. She was first united in marriage to Roscoe Harrison German, Jr. on Friday, October 18, 1968, and this union was blessed with a daughter, Cheryl. She later was united in marriage to Ron Lee Little, Sr. on Saturday, September 24, 2005, in Whiteash, IL, and together they have shared 16 years of marriage. Brenda working career during her lifetime was in secretarial positions with her last place of employment being with Acacia Academy of LaGrange, IL, for 17 years. She was a member of the Arise Church of God located in Marion, IL. Brenda was a member of the Lamplighters Gospel Singers that started in 1974, and was a singer and piano player of the group until 2015, when the group ceased due to health problems. Brenda also published the “Gospel Messenger Newspaper” for 20 plus years. She always enjoyed organizing Christmas parties and events, especially at the church and in her spare time, she enjoyed playing computer games. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and always enjoyed the many times they shared together. The many memories that were created will now be cherished by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her husband, Ron L. Little, Sr. of Marion; daughter Cheryl E. Piszczek and her husband, Donald, Jr., of Justice, IL; two grandchildren, Donald Piszczek, III and Daniel H. Piszczek both of Justice, IL; two brothers-in-law, Jim Little and Larry Little and his wife, Pat, all of Marion, IL; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Radcliffe and her husband, Jim, and Sandra Ferguson and her husband, Bob, all of Marion IL, other extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL. The visitation will be on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the time of visitation, the funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jamie Karales presiding. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Marion, IL. The family requests for those who prefer, memorial contributions be given to “Arise Church of God”. Memorial contributions may be mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, Marion, IL, 62959. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
